Hochschule Campus Wien is the only university of applied sciences in Austria to train all seven legally regulated upper-level medical-therapeutic-diagnostic professions as well as midwifery. An important partner in the areas of education, research and development is the Vienna Healthcare Group. Especially with the master's degree programs and master's courses of the Departments of Health Sciences and Nursing science, Hochschule Campus Wien is helping to develop the health professions as academic disciplines. Because today, evidence-based decisions and management skills are increasingly expected of health professionals.

Research and development are a significant and growing part of the activities of the Department of Health. Partnerships with the Medical University of Vienna and project-related funding from FFG and MA23 prove the recognized research expertise of Hochschule Campus Wien. Master's students are constantly involved in R & D activities.
