Strategy 2030

Hochschule Campus Wien has further developed its strategy through 2030. It builds upon the Strategy 2025 and addresses changing demands in teaching, research, and society. It was developed through a broad participatory process that involved all members of the university community—in a spirit of partnership and mutual respect, and with a focus on what defines us as a university. The goal is clear: By 2030, we aim to be one of the leading universities of applied sciences in Europe. The central question is: How do we shape the university so that it remains relevant, effective, and sustainable tomorrow? And how does this bring us closer to our 2030 goal?

Our Strategy House

At the heart of Strategy 2030 is the Strategy House. Our five values—student-centered, responsible, respectful, innovative, and collaborative—form the foundation. They describe not what we do, but how we work, make decisions, and interact with one another. Three strategic pillars rest upon this foundation: quality, relevance, and visibility. Everything we do—in teaching, research, administration, continuing education, or service—should contribute to at least one of these pillars.

Ten Fields of Action

Ten strategic fields of action specify how we will achieve our vision. The six CORE fields represent what has shaped Hochschule Campus Wien for years and will continue to shape it in the future: high-quality teaching and holistic student support, impactful research and development, a strong role as an employer, a vibrant campus community, societal impact, and diversity as a driver of innovation. The four development fields highlight where we are setting new priorities: international visibility and partnerships, effective collaborations, efficient organization, and digital transformation.

Six Substrategies

To ensure that Strategy 2030 takes effect in our daily work, it is broken down into six substrategies for the university’s core areas of activity: teaching, research and development, internationalization, digitalization, sustainability and diversity management, and continuing education.

Strategy Means Implementation

Strategy 2030 is not a static entity. It serves as the common framework for decisions, projects, and further development—and provides Hochschule Campus Wien with a clear direction for the coming years.
