The use of standardised assessments is an essential part of the physiotherapy process (Potter et al. 2012). While non-standardised or less standardised examination methods have a long tradition in Physiotherapy, standardised assessments are not (yet) routine in clinical practice (Diermayr et al., 2015; Diermayr et al. 2021, Schomberg et al. 2016).
Barriers to the use of standardised assessments include too little time and too few guidelines to identify suitable assessments (Swinkels et al. 2011). To this end, an assessment pool for the clinical area of neurology / central lesions is currently being developed within the university network Physiotherapy in Neurology. This assessment pool will be available to lecturers for implementation in courses from around 2023/24.
In order to make the implementation of the assessment pool student-centred from the academic year 24/25, it is necessary to survey the status quo with regard to students' knowledge of standardised assessments and this is the aim of this project. In collaboration with Wolfgang Kohlmann (Master's student at Danube University Krems), a questionnaire survey is being carried out among Physiotherapy students.
