The goal of the AssessMobility project is to develop a comprehensive physiotherapy assessment battery for individuals with neurological disorders. This assessment battery will then be implemented in selected healthcare facilities based on established theoretical principles.
The use of standardised examination methods (standardised assessments) in the physiotherapy process is called for in the relevant literature. Preliminary work by the research group has shown that there is interest in and commitment to the use of standardised assessments among physiotherapists working in practice. However, their routine use in practice is negatively influenced by numerous context-specific factors. These include, for example, challenges in selecting a suitable assessment and difficulties in interpreting the results of the assessment.
The aim of the AssessMobility project is to develop a cross-phase assessment battery for people with neurological disorders. These are then to be implemented in a theory-based manner (knowledge-to-action cycle, Consolidation Framework for Implementation Research CFIR) in healthcare facilities of the SRH (former Heidelberg Rehabilitation Foundation). FH Campus Wien is realising the project in a strong research-practice partnership together with the SRH company, under the leadership of SRH Heidelberg (an ERASMUS partner of Hochschule Campus Wien).
