TEAM SIM aims to, in an emergency scenario, The goal of the “EIT Health Austria: Academia-2-Entrepreneur (A2E)” project is to motivate students and young researchers in the health sciences and medicine to explore the possibility of starting a business in the health sector.

The young founders are portrayed in video interviews in which they respond to specific questions from students and young researchers on the topic of entrepreneurship. These "best practice" models are intended to further promote entrepreneurial thinking in the academic sector and encourage people to create their own start-ups.

The project also aims to promote innovative ideas for the healthcare market with the help of experts and support programs at the EIT Health Hub.

 

Research Goals

  • Recruitment of students and young researchers in the participating educational institutions
  • Collection of relevant questions on a possible/intended start-up process
  • Development of a pool of questions for selected interviewees from the EIT Health network
  • Production and distribution of videos through appropriate communication channels

The "Academia-2-Entrepreneurs (A2E)" project makes it easier to deal with the challenges and opportunities of setting up a company in the healthcare sector at an early stage. The series of video interviews with established founders offered here provides students and young researchers from the health sciences with valuable insights into important first steps as an entrepreneur in Austria.
