Legionella in drinking water is a particular health hazard. Endocrine disruptors or heavy metals that are harmful to health can enter the water from seals, pipes or fittings. What is special and essential for success is that small and medium-sized companies along the entire value chain - manufacturers of drinking water contact materials, planners, installers and operators - work together with partners from the world of science. In order to further improve drinking water quality, research is to be carried out into the development of rapid tests for legionella, for example. The project was honoured with the Clusterland Award 2015.
