In the future, food manufacturers will have to use recyclable and sustainable packaging systems and thus demonstrably conserve resources and move towards a circular economy.
This project aims to develop a comprehensive service package comprising a novel, holistic assessment of packaging, the optimisation of food packaging systems, and a process for reducing packaging waste throughout the entire life cycle. The service is to be implemented and evaluated at Manner. At the same time, two of Manner’s packaging designs are to be developed with a focus on circularity, and production is to be redesigned to conserve resources. In future, the service is to be offered to local and international food manufacturers and branded goods producers.
