Networking and interlinking, Linked Care is a comprehensive digital system designed to ensure a stringent flow of information and a continuous supply of information in mobile care, supervision and therapy.
Demographic trends are leading to a sharp increase in demand for nursing, supervisor and therapy while the supply of healthcare professionals is decreasing. This results in a high workload and, in addition, different settings such as in-patient, day-care, mobile or even private care, nursing and therapy are often intertwined. Communication is often patchy or involves a great deal of additional time and effort. This is because there is a lack of interfaces and standards in IT systems and communication. The significant differences in the type and scope of documentation cause additional work, as data has to be recorded multiple times.
Linked Care simplifies the flow of information and networks all parties involved with the aim of enabling people in the healthcare professions to work together online with those affected, their relatives, doctors, therapists and pharmacies in an efficient, secure and low-threshold manner with optimal IT support. The system is designed to be easy to use and save time thanks to a high degree of automation, providing clients and their relatives with additional security in mobile care and supervisors.
As a flagship project in this area, Linked Care brings together stakeholders and end users as partners in an unprecedented way to contribute their knowledge and concerns. By taking into account ethically correct and user-orientated development, demonstration and evaluation of the software, a new gold standard is being developed. This will make Austria a European pioneer in digital information and communication in mobile care and supervision.
Linked Care is a digital documentation system in mobile care and support, a portal in which all relevant information about care and supervisor processes is entered and is available to all persons involved across all settings. A simple user interface enables quick access to documentation as well as fast, partially automated completion.
