Both pillars of the project (Language Center & Foundation Year) focus on the internationalization of Hochschule Campus Wien. On the one hand, tailored English courses for faculty and students support mobility initiatives; on the other hand, the two-semester Foundation Year provides a solid foundation for the subsequent degree program taught in English, which is designed for students from non-EU countries.
The main objective is to develop a Language Centre at Hochschule Campus Wien to increase the language skills of lecturers and students in order to successfully increase international activities. The Language Centre's Teacher Training Courses specifically prepare lecturers to give competent presentations in English. In addition, exam preparation courses for English certificates and skills training courses (presenting, negotiating, etc.) are offered, which enable students at Hochschule Campus Wien to successfully complete semesters abroad. Language teaching is enriched by a comprehensive, interactive online learning platform, which is aimed at lecturers and students alike and promotes continuous professional development in English language acquisition.
