This is exactly what the FWF-funded science communication project INDIKINA by FH-Prof.in Univ. Doz.in Dr.in Ines Swoboda is all about. This project aims to familiarise children aged 5 and over with the basics of food allergies in a playful and narrative way. To this end, Ines Swoboda and her team are developing an interactive digital children's book on food allergies together with Open Science - Life Sciences in Dialogue, an association for science communication, the Institute for Young People's Literature and the software company Vienom.

Students from the Applied Life Sciences at Camups Vienna University of Applied Sciences and other Austrian universities are also involved in the project and support the project team with their expertise and creativity.

This transdisciplinary team will create the first interactive, digital children's book of its kind in the German-speaking world.
