Project duration: 1.5.2022 - 31.12.2025
A special form of field placement is currently offered at the Divine Saviour Hospital - the so-called "diagnosis-related field placement". The aim of this is to capture the full dimension of nursing care. Students are offered the opportunity to accompany the entire diagnostic and therapeutic pathway as well as the holistic nursing care of patients with the most common medical diagnoses in the respective disciplines - under the continuous supervision of trained supervisors.
The research project aims to generate a concept for diagnosis-related field placement at the Divine Saviour Hospital. Subsequently, an evaluation form is to be developed that enables the assessment of the diagnosis-related field placement by students and practice instructors from the specialist area of Health Care and Nursing.
In order to capture the idea and motivation that led to the development of the diagnosis-related field placement, expert interviews will be conducted with the people involved in the development. By analysing focus group interviews with students and practice instructors before/during/after the internship, an assessment of the expectations of the diagnosis-related field placement will also be made. The results obtained from this will serve as the basis for creating an evaluation sheet for the diagnosis-related field placement for students.
