Project Duration: 01.10.2020 to 01.10.2024
The CIRCUL-A-BILITY project goes beyond the state of the art and addresses both technical and non-technical hurdles to the implementation of sustainable food packaging and circular food supply chains. This food-specific, targeted measure is therefore of central importance in the debate on sustainable packaging. It makes it possible to exchange data on interactions between food and packaging and to focus on consumer behaviour.
CIRCUL-A-BILITY is thus building a Europe-wide network of stakeholders in all aspects of food packaging. The network extends from materials and food science to the manufacturing and filling industry, consumer research and political decision-makers. The aim is to harmonise and integrate research in this area, exchange information, support the industry in implementing sustainable alternatives and set up working groups that can provide science-based recommendations to consumers, user groups, policy makers and the industry.
