Study Visit

This page contains automated translations.

A study visit lasts longer than two months (at least 61 days of international mobility) and enables you to study at a host university abroad as part of your regular study programs. You will attend courses there that will count towards your degree programme. You will broaden your personal and professional horizons, improve your language skills and familiarise yourself with new cultures and study systems.

Semester abroad in Denmark

“Encounters with people from different countries—their friendships, conversations, perspectives, and ways of working—have also broadened and shaped my professional outlook.”

Beate Bauer, student in the Bachelor's program in Social Work

The first step: choose a university

In order to receive funding, the host university must be a partner university of your study program. You can find our current partner universities here under "Exchange opportunities" by filling out the form under "Pre-selection". As soon as you select the "Programme" and "Study programs" fields, a list of all partner universities will appear under "Result".

Are you interested in a university without an existing agreement with your study programs? Then clarify this as early as possible with the international coordinator of your study program before contacting the International Office.
