A study visit lasts longer than two months (at least 61 days of international mobility) and enables you to study at a host university abroad as part of your regular study programs. You will attend courses there that will count towards your degree programme. You will broaden your personal and professional horizons, improve your language skills and familiarise yourself with new cultures and study systems.
In order to receive funding, the host university must be a partner university of your study program. You can find our current partner universities here under "Exchange opportunities" by filling out the form under "Pre-selection". As soon as you select the "Programme" and "Study programs" fields, a list of all partner universities will appear under "Result".
Are you interested in a university without an existing agreement with your study programs? Then clarify this as early as possible with the international coordinator of your study program before contacting the International Office.

Mobility abroad is generally possible in all countries where you can stay safely, i.e. in countries for which there is no travel warning higher than level 3. The current classifications can be found on the BMEIA website. Countries with a travel warning 1-2 are possible for mobility. A stay in countries with a travel warning 3 is only possible with a final degree of liability exemption (student declaration). Mobility in countries with a travel warning 4 is not possible.
