Equal opportunities for all people and non-discriminatory coexistence are core values at the University of Applied Sciences Campus Vienna.
Since November 2014, there have been two network groups at the university for staff, teaching staff and students of different sexual orientations, identities and lifestyles, which contribute to the creation of internal UAS platforms for exchange, information and support.
Participation is possible at any time!

Students whose gender identity does not correspond to their legal first name and gender entry have the option of changing their first name from their legal name to their chosen name once during their studies. In future, the chosen name will be used internally at HCW as the first name. This affects, among other things, the HCW e-mail address, the Campus Card and attendance lists.
The legal name remains stored. The university is obliged to use and pass it on wherever it acts as an authority. This applies to (collective) certificates, the legal processing of student-related data, the legally required transmission of student-related data, etc.
Applications are submitted by students via the portal under the menu item "Applications".
New employees can already enter their identity name in the application tool and this will then be used for the employment contract, email, contact details on the website, the Campus Card and door signs. Existing employees can request the use of an identity name in the event of a transition by sending an email to the HR department.
In October 2015, the Hochschule Campus Wien was awarded the meritus in the category "Large organisations with over 250 employees". Queer Business Women and agpro - austrian gay professionals award this prize every two years to companies and organisations that are particularly committed to the diversity dimension of sexual orientation.
