Exclusively for graduates of Hochschule Campus Wien

The prize is worth 4,500 euros and will be shared amongst the winners. The call for entries is open exclusively to graduates of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in the Department of Social Work and Applied Nursing Science.

Theses may be submitted from 21 September to 15 November 2026.

Origin and destination

The award is named after Erika Stubenvoll, a former President of the Vienna Provincial Assembly, who worked as a social worker for many years and served as Chair of Volkshilfe Wien between 2011 and 2018. The award is intended to help researchers make their work accessible to a wider public and to facilitate further publications of their findings. Above all, it aims to highlight the systemically important role of Social Work and Applied Nursing Science.

Jury and awards ceremony

The nominated theses will be assessed by a jury comprising experts from Hochschule Campus Wien and senior staff from Volkshilfe Wien. A total of six theses will receive awards.

The awards ceremony will take place on 12 May 2027 in the late afternoon at the Hochschule Campus Wien.
