Searchitect

Hardly anyone, private individual or entrepreneur, has not already stored data in the cloud. The desire for this data is great, by companies, for political reasons. Storing data in the cloud is practical, but dangerous.

The data is scattered all over the world, and nobody knows who actually has access to it. If the data is encrypted, functionality is lost, in particular the searchability of the documents. Searchitect wants to solve this usability/security contradiction by making "searchable encryption" usable for the masses. A web service is being developed which developers can then integrate into their applications without any cryptographic knowledge.

Research Goals

Development of a framework with which developers can easily integrate a secure search on encrypted data into their applications. The framework will be made publicly available under an open source licence.
