City of Vienna Endowed Professorship – Artificial Intelligence

Duration: 1 February 2021 to 31 January 2026

The endowed professorship of the University of Applied Sciences funding guideline for Artificial Intelligence serves the overarching goal of enabling high-quality teaching in the promising field of AI. It is intended to complement the existing competences of the teaching staff in the field of AI and enable Hochschule Campus Wien to develop its own core competence.

The planned endowed professorship for teaching will promote analytical and content-related skills in the field of AI as well as the promising social skills of emotional intelligence, innovative thinking and critical reflection. This will be achieved by adapting, developing and implementing modern, gender-neutral, didactic concepts. The focus of the endowed professorship is intended to give future graduates a knowledge advantage in the field of AI, which will help them and Vienna in particular to remain competitive. On the one hand, this is a response to the innovation needs of Austrian companies in the near future, and on the other hand, it aims to position Hochschule Campus Wien in the research field of AI. The endowed professorship supports Hochschule Campus Wien in promoting one of the key technologies for the Austrian economy, which is not yet sufficiently recognised in the Austrian tertiary education sector.
