Focus on Impact at wohnpartner

Duration: August 2019 to March 2021

The concept of impact orientation has become an integral part of the social economy. Operating in an impact-oriented manner means aligning one's own actions with the planned, intended effects of the target groups. This means

  • defining the desired effects of one's own target groups (outcome) and for society (impact),
  • planning your own services and programmes effectively,
  • measuring and analysing the effects achieved and
  • adapting the services offered if necessary in order to achieve the previously defined effects more precisely in the future.

But how can this outlined, multi-stage process be applied to the diverse, low-threshold and preventative work of a social work organisation? How can this concept be integrated from the outset when implementing a new service?

"wohnpartner - gemeinsam für eine gute Nachbarschaft" would like to get to the bottom of these questions with the support of a Project Team from FH Campus Wien. So far, the focus has been on analysing the annual performance of the various work areas. In future, the focus will be on the impact of the various activities in order to demonstrate their benefits for residents and for living together in the neighbourhood.

Based on this, a survey tool suitable for wohnpartner will be developed to record the impact achieved in future.

Research Goals

  • Development and review of an impact model for "on-site work" (various services and formats, community work) and for "initial social counselling", taking into account various professions and the client's perspective
  • Development and testing of an impact-orientated survey instrument
