Project Duration: 26.05.2026 to 30.06.2027
Impact-Oriented Approach: The IN:WORK Project – The IN:WORK project, led by neunerhaus, develops and tests innovative approaches to help job seekers who are homeless, without permanent housing, or living in precarious housing situations gain access to the labor market.
The starting point is the neunerhaus Café, a low-threshold setting for supporting the homeless in Vienna. Building on experience in peer support and social work, new support models are being designed, tested and evaluated for their effectiveness in collaboration with service users, employers and stakeholders in labour market policy.
The core elements are low-threshold access, peer support as a key component, and a focus on a previously unreached target group.
The project goal is to develop and trial new pathways into the primary labour market for jobseekers who are homeless, without a fixed abode or living in precarious housing situations.
To this end, a peer-based support model focusing on labour market access is being developed for the first time in Austria, systematically combining elements of peer support, social work, labour market integration and impact-oriented approaches.
The target group consists of jobseekers who are homeless, without a fixed abode or living in precarious housing situations. Hochschule Campus Wien is collaborating with various partners on this project.
As a research partner, Hochschule Campus Wien (FORSAR) is providing support, in particular, in developing a scientifically sound impact logic. The innovation conceived within the project is being aligned from the outset with a clear Theory of Change and impact logic. The aim is to establish a suitable impact model, complete with its impact dimensions.
